1. How can I be sure that your employees are qualified?

  For all our staff members it is mandatory that they are licensed by the Health Authority of Abu Dhabi (HAAD)


2. Where can I find your offices?

  Our Office is located at Al Baraqa Building Mezannine Floor Office #03 Airport Road Abu Dhabi, UAE. (Beside
  Mister Baker bakeshop and Opposite of Costa Airport Road Branch.)

3. What services do you offer?

  Island Home Health Care offers various home healthcare services which include Nursing
  Services, Physiotherapy Services and Home General Physician services. For details of our services please click

4. How can be admitted to your services?

  a.)We accept referrals from patient’s family and hospitals through our contact details:

  b.)Prepare medical report and face-to-face assessment with homecare referral from treating physician,
   hospital/other facility. The Medical Report should not be more than 2 months from the date it was printed.

  c.)The patient should meet the company’s Admission Criteria set out below:
   • Patient is “homebound” - The referring physician has certified the patient to be medically confined to their
    home.
   • Requires skilled nursing or therapy and supportive services to maintain or improve the current condition or to
    prevent or reduce further deterioration.
   • The condition is stable enough to be managed at home and the physical facilities in the patient’s residence
    shall be adequate or adaptable for the safe and effective provision of care and/or services. If not, the patient/
    family will be instructed regarding any corrective measures that are required.
   • The patient resides within the geographical area served by Island Home Health Care.

  d.)After we receive the referral, our clinical team will communicate with the patient/patient’s family for
    assessment and home safety evaluation then necessary requirements set out by the insurance company
    Daman-Thiqa will be completed, if insured for pre-authorization. We also cater to self-pay patients with the
    same scope of services.

5. Do you have a formal referral process?

  Kindly call us, send us your email request or visit our office and we will guide you through the necessary
  formalities.

6. Who pays for the service?

  In-home skilled medical services and the frequency of services are typically prescribed by your physician and can
  be authorized through your health insurance provider or through self-pay. We are happy to assist in this process.
  If your insurance provider does not cover the services, we can provide a self-pay quote.

7. How long does it take before Daman approves your service?

  Usually it takes 12 to 48 hours.

8. Do I have to be home if your team is providing care to a family member?

  Not necessarily. Your loved one’s condition shouldn’t stop you from performing your daily routine such as work or
  traveling. However, emotional support from relatives and friends is needed to achieve better clinical outcomes.

9. How can I complain if unsatisfied with the services?

  There are multiple modes of communication to inform us if you are not satisfied with the services we provide.
  Our team will accommodate your concerns and address it promptly. You may do the following:

   c.) Fill in the Complaint Form then seal it and send it to the office.

10. Can the nurse stay with my relative while in hospital?

  The nurse can accompany your relative to the hospital for follow up appointments as well as emergencies but is not allowed to perform any duties in
  a hospital as this could potentially cause conflict.

11. Can your nurses escort patients traveling outside the country for further treatment or procedures?

  Yes, our licensed Nurses are qualified in and outside the country and are able to escort patients to treatment facilities outside of the UAE. We can
  also provide clinical care at home for patients returning to the UAE after treatment as and when required.
